Richard
(Dick) Ayotte founded American Brokerage Consultants in 1987 and
manages the company's management, consulting and research activities. He is the
author of all 23 editions of the Banker's Guide to Third-Party Retail Investment
Programs.
Dick provides strategic
assessment
and management consulting services to:
- Financial institutions
that are considering alternative structures for offering securities or
insurance products to their customers and are searching for the best
approach to meet their goals and objectives;
- Financial institutions
that are already involved in a securities or annuity program and need an

independent review and analysis and advises management on program structural
issues, sales and marketing activities, and other factors which would
produce optimal results and help management achieve its goals and
objectives;
- Third-party marketing
companies that need assistance in program design and structure,
strategic assessment of the financial institution marketplace, advice on
automated systems and technology, and virtually all aspects of third-party
marketing;
- Mutual fund companies and
insurance companies which seek to increase their distribution through
banking channels.
Prior to forming ABC, Dick was
a founder and general manager of the nation's first third-party marketing
company to offer investment services to banks.
Dick's professional experience
also includes four years as chief financial officer for a major thrift
institution and seven years as a CPA with a "Big 5" public accounting
firm.
In 1987, Dick consolidated his
knowledge and business experience in banking, bank investment services, and
consulting to form ABC. He has authored numerous articles published by banking
journals and the financial press and is a frequent speaker at banking and
